hahaha Byron I remember the view from the apt and the exit that I had forgotten already. Nice video thx for posting it and I'll be there very very soon! Hope you enjoy Cartagena as well...
Yo Byron, I have to give you mad props brother. I do think you can have your own show on the travel channel. J/k. In all seriousness, you took a plunge and made a life that was worth exploring. I only want to do that one day myself. Your Homeboy, Colin
Hey Colin! Well, to add a little to your comment... I just got back from a night out here in Cartagena, Colombia.
Cartagena is a really old colonial city on the coast of the Caribbean, that was the main South American port for the Spanish Empire from the 1500's to the 1800's and hence, held all the gold for transport that was extracted from places like Peru and Chile back in the day. So it was subject to some crazy, and famous pirate attacks, and the city has a TON of history. Anyway, a few hundred years ago they built this wall as a fortification around the city, full of cannons and everything to fend off all the sieges that were laid to the city, and the wall is still standing today.
It also just so happens that they recently built this bar on top of the wall, and I was there tonight having some fine Caribbean rum and cokes looking out over the ocean just imagining everything that must have taken place there.
It was really quite an experience and yes, taking "the plunge" was well worth it... :)
Yo Byron! What up man....I was without a computer since mid-January so I missed a lot of your updates. Will have to go back through and check them out.
Glad you've enjoyed yourself so far! I knew you were making the right decision. Now I just need to go back and read and watch your travels that I missed.
I am writing this not for the eyes of the many, but for yours alone: for each of us is audience enough for the other.

And so there is no reason for you to think that any man has lived long because he has grey hairs or wrinkles; he has not lived long—he has existed long.
The wiseman lacks nothing but needs a great number of things, wheras the fool, on the other hand, needs nothing but lacks everything.

"Look, one day I had gone to a little village. An old grandfather of ninety was busy planting an almond tree.'What, grandad!' I exclaimed. 'Planting an almond tree?' And he, bent as he was, turned around and said: 'My son, I carry on as if I should never die'. I replied: 'And I carry on as if I was going to die any minute....' Which of us was right boss?"

For in his mind our profits underwent marvellous transformations: they became travels, women and new adventures. He was waiting impatiently for the day when he would earn a fortune, when his wings would be sufficiently big- "wings" was the name he gave to money- for him to fly away.
